Grand Cru in Bellevue – “Dinner’s On Us” Special
What a glorious Wednesday night. We had made a reservation at Grand Cru for their “free dinner” special, and were quite pleasantly surprised.
.
So you know, there are stipulations. I suggest you read the fine print. That, and you must have a reservation.
.
Jesse and I both started with the tomato bisque, which was hearty and well seasoned.
.
For the main course, we shared a delicious (and large!) piece of lasagna and halibut with garlic mashed potatoes and an array of nicely done olives, tomatoes, capers, and sun-dried tomatoes on top. Both were fabulous, though the halibut itself was a little lackluster.
.
We were both stuffed already, but Jesse was so excited about the Lemon Tart for dessert… how could we not. I meant to take a picture, but it looked sooo good. We dove right in. Despite being stuffed to the gills, we ate the whole thing. It was very well balanced (not too sweet, tart, bready, or creamy…. just right!). I at least saved the photo evidence of the end result.
.
.
The tart, as well as the Guinness and iced tea we had, were not part of the “free deal.” But we got two amazing meals, two fabulous appetizers, two drinks, an amazing dessert, and covered gratuity… all for $29. So worth it!
If you are into wines, they have an amazing wine selection and knowledgeable staff, as well. Next time we’re trying the flights (three 2 oz. wine samplings).
I highly recommend Grand Cru. Be sure to check their website for reservations!

I might as well make myself an expert at all of them!
