Once, I Had a Dream
All I am left is my stark realities.
They lure me, tease me, haunt me.
Like a faint echo of what could have been, they hang overhead, misting my face with relief.
My weary crow’s feet fill with the hopes of times past and present. I am my own gift today.
We each have one chance to live today right.
Live and love with integrity.
